Mecanizados y Montajes will participate actively in the #CoachExit project promoted by the Exit Foundation and the Osborne Foundation, which seeks the inclusion of young people at risk of social exclusion through training projects that show them the job opportunities to which they can choose. This is the first time it has been held in Cádiz, and M&M has made seven of its managers available as a "coach" for the successful completion of this project. Andalucia is one of the regions of Europe with more school dropouts, reaching 24%, which means that one in four students do not finish their studies. This translates into a youth unemployment rate that reaches 47.8%, half of the young people seeking work, can not find it. In this environment, any work that helps the incorporation of young people into the world of work must be supported.
The #CoachExit project is aimed at young people from 16 to 19 years of age, with very limited or no work experience, without having finished their primary or secondary education and with family environments or problematic behaviors. The selected young people carry out 6 sessions with their tutors, four of them in the company in which they work, with a total of 25 hours. The corporate volunteers accompany them, guide them and motivate them. This project has been working in Spain for 10 years, and has helped 2240 young people in 66 projects. The evaluation of the young people is very positive, and they consider that it has helped them to improve their self-esteem, to know how a company works inside, and to improve their possibilities to obtain a job in the future. The company is always willing to participate in these initiatives.
